Daddy'OWhat an exciting week. It seems like as soon as Zariyan turned 6 months, everything started to change.

He had a monumental week last week. He’s now really starting to crawl, he can make it across the room in under 30 seconds, which can also be a problem as yesterday we turned our backs for no more than 30 seconds while he was sitting on the bed, and sure enough crawled right over the edge and landed on his head. Ouch!

We took him on a hike in his new back-pack carrier to the top of Topanga Heights to see the view over LA, yikes, it’s something else to be packing 22 extra pounds up that mountain. 🙂

He’s been eating a lot of new solid foods, from guacamole to beans, chicken liver pate, and of course all the usual baby food. This lead to the inevitable “First Solid Poop”… ouch!

Oh, and he’s going potty on the toilet now, not every time of course, but after he get’s some of Mommy’s Milk, she usually sits him on the can for a few minutes and he instinctively knows what to do.

He just weighed in at 18.2 lbs yesterday and still 26 inches, but his thighs are getting huge!

We figure in another few weeks he’ll be able to start working part time for us as our paper shredding assistant as he always looking to chew on any paper he can get his hands on. LOL

I’ve managed to find a few spare minutes to find three great photos that show some of his great facial expressions. Enjoy!

Daddy'OZariyan - 3 Months OldSo I’m starting to get phone calls from frustrated friends and family who live far away and don’t get to see Zariyan very often.

They keep shouting for “More Photos”. So I’m making a public announcement that by next weekend, I will find the time to go through the thousands of photos we have taken of Little Baby Z and post some of the better ones for you all to see.

This audio clip was recorded when Zariyan was only 3 hours old. He’s telling us the journey of how he was born into this world.

PS. Listen for the little snort of the piglet at the end. He’s already living up to the name.

Bugaboo StrollerDaddy'OYou gotta be kiddin’ me… it took me 4 hours to test out every stroller in the store, pull them all appart, put them back together and discuss them with all the other mommy customers that just happened to walk by at that opportune moment when our sales staff was checking inventory on colors and stock availability.

Then we wait 6 weeks for our Yellow, Blue and Orange stroller to arrive. Of course we had to go with the Moon mobile (AKA the “BugaBoo Camelian”). Nothing else would do for little pigglet.

So today it finally arrived and would you believe it, another 3 hours to assemble the darn thing. I just hope I can improve on that time to get it in and out of thar car. hehehe.

Daddy'OOkay folks,

For those of you who haven’t yet put your bids in, we had set the deadline for March 9th, however we feel it’s only fair to extend this until the baby is actually here. So… on that note, you can still put your guesses or should I say bets in untill the little piglet pops.

So don’t hesitate and get it in today!

Thanks!

Pig PenDaddy'OI think I read somewhere that parents tend to have this natural instinct to want to make changes and improvements to their home before the baby comes.

Well I remember reading it in my book (The Cave-Man’s Guide to Surviving Pregnancy), and thinking, oh no that won’t be me…

HA~! I was mistaken. We just painted our room and started to redecorate the pig pen so that our little oinker will feel comfortable and cozy.

Aside from the paint job, I guess we did some other remodeling of the house but that was more for the office. We managed to “Hard Wire” the entire facility which means full speed Internet in almost every room of the house. Yipee!

Oh and if you’re wondering how we picked the colors for the room, well I jokingly said, “Why not make them the same as the web site…”, and what do you know, mommy thought it was such a great idea we picked up the paint that day and PRESTO, we have purple and green walls.

Daddy'O… I say “Beyond the Matrix”…

So in a fast pased world where you are surounded by electronics, screens and gagetries… what will the children of the future be capable of? For those who don’t know about my Super Learning techiques, I can almost guarantee this little piglet is going to have a few new tricks to teach ol’daddy.

Most of you aren’t able to hang around at the office with us on a day-to-day basis, so I thought I’d take a quick photo to show you what we look at when we wake up and just before we go to sleep.

At the Office

You’ll notice that our little one will be surrounded by other little piggies everwhere he/she goes.

On that note, I’m off to catch a few quick winks, as they tell me they’ll be my last. hahahah

Daddy'OOkay, okay, okay… It’s Dad here with a quick update. Where should I start….? Am I ready for a baby? Uhh too late for that question…

Call me crazy but when work is play and play is work, why not create an entire web site dedicated to your unborn child. 😉

The other day we went shopping for baby stuff and I can sum it in three words… “OUT OF CONTROL”. Yikes! And something tells me we ain’t even started yet. There’s a voice in the back of my head that keeps whispering “20+ years” over and over again.

So we did two stores in two days for a total of 13 hours of non-stop baby shopping (and I got my education while we were at it.)

Mommy and I wanted to keep everything low key, but because our staff and friends keep getting at us to setup a baby registry it was necessary.

This is by no means manditory, but if you are one of those who would like to contribute in some way, please head on over to one of the two locations (web sites) where we have setup our Registry.

BabiesRus.com – Click here to View

RightStart.com – Click here to View

Now, we spent many hours talking with experienced mothers and sales people to make the choices around Brands, Styles, and even Colors on nearly every single product, so although the above stores are not necessarily the only place you can find these products, if you do want to go price shopping either locally or online, please be sure to find a correct match to the one in our Registry. Thanks 🙂 …heaven forbid we end up with a blue diaper bag instead of the red one… but seriously… we are both very creative parents when it comes to colors and styles it likely took some negotiating on one side or the other to come to our decisions.

… and if anyone has any questions about Baby Monitors… I spent about an hour goin over every single feature of about 11 different brand names and 17 types so I’m now considered an expert on the subject. I even spent some time helping other moms in the store to choose one that was right for their house pending on the size, number of rooms and how many people in their family.

In case you don’t buy the item from either of the Registry stores / sites, can you please come back to this post and simply make a comment letting us (and more importantly everyone else) know which product(s) you have purchased so we can cross them off the registry. Thanks.

Also, this means you will need to click on the comments link just below this post and to the right to check what someone else might have already purchased before your shopping finger gets too happy.
